Efrosyni Panayiotou is a PhD student at University College Dublin. Originally from Nicosia, Cyprus, her doctoral research is focused on the idea of Enosis – the union of Cyprus with Greece – throughout the period of the British occupation of the island and beyond.

Her research interests include the modern history of Cyprus and the wider Mediterranean region in the context of intellectual history, the development of political ideas and concepts, and histories of political violence and decolonisation.
