She holds a BA in Humanities from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and an MA in International War Studies from the University of Potsdam and University College Dublin. She also undertook studies at Universidad de las Américas Puebla.
Her research areas encompass children’s experiences of conflicts, the role of language in shaping political narratives and the logic and dynamics of violence within civil wars. Marta has a keen interest in the history of political violence in early twentieth-century Spain from a global perspective, with a particular emphasis on its connections with Mexico, and she intends to pursue a PhD in this field.
